Mill Race Park

Address:
36 Water Street North, Cambridge
Description:

Mill Race Park is located on the southwest corner of Parkhill Road/Water St. N., and is the site of various concerts within the stone amphitheatre, built within the ruins of the old C. Turnbull Textile Mill. It features an excavated "raceway" or canal which once powered the mill.

There is a concession booth which operates seasonally; home of the ever popular "LA Franks". Stop in for some great fries, or amazing hot dogs and sausages. It is also a great spot for ice cream and an afternoon stroll! There are washrooms and an area with picnic tables located at the site. Concession hours may vary and are weather dependent.

Mill Race Park is the site of the official Canadian Heritage River Designation Plaque and a favourite location for wedding photographs, as well as wedding ceremonies.

Mill Race Park is the only park within the city that is reserved for wedding purposes. All other parks for wedding photos are available on a first come, first served basis. Ceremonies at Mill Race are allotted a 90 minute time frame, and photographs are allotted a 45 minute time frame. The reserved time slot is for the amphitheatre, and top section of Mill Race Park only. Please note that as with any reservation process, the date/time which you require may not be available.
